The blackboard temperature sensor of the testing machine needs to be calibrated regularly. The calibration of QUV testing machine only requires the simple use of any reference thermometer. The Q-SUN test chamber must be calibrated using a special blackboard thermometer. Calibration of the thermometer itself requires calibration once a year.
All QUV and Q-SUN testing machines are equipped with a SOLAR EYE solar irradiance control system (except for QUV//basic testing machines). The SOLAR EYE solar eye system can monitor and accurately maintain the radiation level inside the testing machine.
The sensors inside the SOLAR EYE solar eye system must be calibrated regularly by the user. This task can be accomplished using a special calibrated radiometer. The irradiance meter itself needs to be calibrated once a year.
QUV thermometer calibration
The QUV blackboard temperature sensor needs to be calibrated regularly by the user to ensure accurate and consistent results. The calibration of QUV blackboard temperature sensor is simple and can be performed using any standard reference thermometer.
Under normal circumstances, the temperature sensor does not need to be replaced. If replacement is required, replacement parts can be ordered according to the following part numbers:

Q-SUN thermometer calibration
All Q-SUN blackboard temperature sensors need to be calibrated regularly by the user to ensure accurate and consistent results. Calibrating the blackboard temperature sensor with the CT202 thermometer is simple and only takes a few minutes. Please note that the CT202 thermometer is equipped with either a non insulated black panel sensor or an insulated black panel sensor. The sensor type must match the actual sensor type used by the Q-SUN tester.
The CT202 thermometer needs to be returned to Q-Lab for recalibration once a year at a minimal cost. Our calibration laboratory has obtained ISO 17025 certification from the American Association for Accreditation of Laboratories (A2LA) or UKAS in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Calibration can be traced back to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States.
The Q-SUN Xe-1 has an optional indoor air temperature sensor (including the Xe-1 model with a chiller). Calibrating the Xe-1 indoor air temperature sensor is simple and can be done with any standard reference thermometer.
The Q-SUN B02 and Xe-3 xenon lamp aging test chambers, due to their low cost, combined with relative humidity/room air temperature sensors, is a thoughtful design improvement. It should be replaced once a year without the need for recalibration.
